Instructor Alex:
How has Martial Arts changed your life and what personal benefits has it added?
Instructor Alex:

“Martial arts has provided a venue to develop both my mind and body in a fascinating and intellectually stimulating way. The great thing about Jiu Jitsu is it allows the practitioner to explore the limits of what might or might not work in a real hands on situation.

You learn that many of the untested ideas people have about fights are completely inaccurate and it is humbling to explore ones personal limits. Questions regarding the limits of your endurance, willpower, strength, speed, and balance, are answered through Jiu Jitsu.

Jiu Jitsu allows you to take an honest assessment of yourself and then improve through training and technique development.”

Why Lopez Martial Arts?
Instructor Alex:

“When I first started training at Lopez Martial Arts I came to develop my body from its very soft state at the time and find something more stimulating than the usual gym workout. While I certainly lost weight fast and gained balance and strength the primary benefit came from the environment.

Lopez Martial Arts has developed a home for like minded people to explore the intellectual side of Martial Arts. The school has fostered a collaborative environment to explore together a rigorous discipline that necessitates trust between the students and the instructors.”
