Riaz has earned his school stripe. Riaz exhibit won first place in the regional National History Day competition. For the past six months Riaz has been researching the persecution of Baha’is in Iran due to the lack of of religious liberty in that country.
He interviewed refugees, families of martyrs the Director of External Affairs Office for a National organization, members of the head administrative body of the Baha’is. He was also a co-delegate that met with Congressman Salmon to request his co-sponsorship of house Resolution 109, condemning religious intolerance in Iran. Riaz will now be competing at the state level in April, and if he wins will go to Washington DC to compete nationally.
